I have a Windows 2000 Server and Windows XP Machines. I
have set up roaming accounts for some of the users and
one of the roaming accounts is mine.

The roaming accounts do work but for one slight problem,
say i wanted to add a file on my desktop let's say "Chris
programs", then i go and log in my account in the claims
department it will show the old profile desktop that was
orignally used not the new updated one with the new
file "Chris programs".

Cheers

Presuming you didn't stay logged in at workstation A while logging into
workstation B - check your app logs on the workstation for 'userenv' errors.

How big is your profile on the server? I suggest redirecting My Documents to
point at your home directory. Keep profiles small and they tend to work
better.

My profile size is 298MB and what do you mean by
redirecting My Documents to home directory?

That's a huge profile - I'm not surprised you're having problems.
You can either use group policies for folder redirection, or manually do so
by right-clicking on My Documents, properties, and specify your home
directory or subfolder therein, etc....then it will prompt you to move the
items.
