How to remove 1 of 2 physical drives safely when the
drive to be removed has files that were installed during
setup of the operating system?
I had installed the slave drive (that is to be removed)
in order to quickly move files from the primary drive
before formatting. After formatting I installed Windows
XP Professional and discovered that the slave drive was
assigned drive letter C and had several new files
written to it by the OS. Microsoft says that I can
change drive letters safely (AND PRIDES THE PROCESS) but
I've not found notes on how to also remove the slave
drive safely. Thanks for your help. (e-mail address removed)
