Rise of Nations / DirectX Problems

I'm trying to play Rise of Nations but the game freezes
and crashs the box. Then, I have to reebot my machine
(XP). I used "dxdiag" to test Direct3D and it crashed on
test. I've already installed the newest version of DirectX
and the video driver but the problem persist...

Could anyone help me?
