RIS SERVER SETUP

Hi All,

I built a RIS server at my office, but the server is not authorized as a
DHCP server in AD. Is there anyway, I can run RIS installations from this
server, but point clients to another server to get an IP address? If so
then, does this involve using a floppy disk with a script of some sort?
Please help!

Thanks,

Jonesy Boy

Hi Mate,

This is the default installation, all you need to do is to make sure that
the dhcp server is not running on the ris box, but with the way ris works, it
still has to be authorised by the ad, as it uses dhcp to notify the client of
the remote boot filename, server etc etc
