RIP2 and XP

I need to find out if it is possible to enable RIP2 on XP, Thanks

Sort of. RIP Listener is supported on XP. IT is installed from the
Add/Remove Programs. This will only listen to but NOT reply to RIP packets.

Would you know of any third party add-ons that would get RIP2 to work,
we have 60 workstations and if possible we would need rip2 to work.

I am not aware of any. Why do you require RIP on your workstations? If you
explain your situation, I may be able to offer alternative methods.

The Situation

We have 50 workstations on one subnet running a dynamic database, then
we have 8 diffrent subnets across running over modem lines to update
this database. Right now we have routers taking care of all the
routing, and the servers are keeping themselves inline with ras. The
powers that be want to take out the routers and use a cloud device.
Origionally with the routers installed if one of out primary links
went down the backup would take over and the rip on the routers would
take care of everyting. Now we might have to rely on the workstations
and or replace the switches that we are using. Thanks Chuck
