RightFax 8.7 and Micosoft .NET

Hi!,

I have a query regarding Captaris RightFax 8.7 and Microsoft .NET.

I am developing a application for one of my client where the client needs to
send e-Fax from the website. He has asked us to integrate RightFax. He is
having a RightFax ver 8.7 installed on his server. Now the question is can we
integrate RightFax 8.7 with Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 to send e-Fax? Or
we need upgrade to RightFax 9.0 to do the same.

Looking for quick response.

Thanks in advance.

You do not need to upgrade to v9.0. There are several ways to
accomplish this. Rightfax has embedded codes that you could pass to the
fax server from your web app. There is a COM tool and Java API too. The
embedded codes are part of the software and don't cost anything. The
COM module includes support for Java. It costs US$995.00 (without tech
support). We also have a rapid application development environment
called snapsflow that allows you to automate all of the Rightfax API
with a GUI interface that requires little programming, other than
understanding how to write a SQL query - if you want to look up
information from a third party table, prior to submitting a fax to the
fax server. Hope this helps.
