Hi Anton,

My system gives a menu when right clickin on a open program. It is Move,
Size, Minimize, etc.

Try this:

To run the SFC Scannow applet.

With Windows running,

Put your XP CD into the drive, when the Screem comes up click exit.

Click the start button, than run. Type in "sfc /scannow". (Without the
quotes) Please note that their is a "Space" between sfc and /scannow.

That will copy the .dlls to a cache in system32 and replace any
corrupted .dlls

Hope this helps

thank you richard! =)

(yes that is exactly the menu I meant) its back now, now that Ive restarted
my system. But it gets
like that, and I dont know what causes it, but I suspect tweakUI for XP, or
actual tool buttons.
This is happening since I insttalled one of them... (or both)

as a fix yesterday I ran kelly's undo prevent buttons from taking focus, and
log off/logged in.
that fix removes the unwanted behaviour of the programs I mentioned. They
work as intended
at first, but somehow mix things up it seems...

I dont know which one to remove either. I think the functionalty of both
should have been
supplied with XP to begin with...

thank you for the repply and concern.

Hi Anton,

Thanks for the feedback. I am pleased it helped.

FYI I have used TweakUI for years without any problem. I have no idea what
is causing this. One point. Kelleys stuff is great but TweakUI has a switch
to prevent items from stealing focus, it probably makes the same registry
change as Kelly's fix but you might check that they both are set to the same
position.

Have Fun

Hi Anton,

If the problem still exists you may have to use System Restore to recover to
a point before installing NAV. The system should have created one when NAV
was installed. An uninstall does not always get rid of everything needed.

Hi Richard,

Yes that is what I meant, the status in tweakUI is set right. but programs
are still prevented
from taking focus when this error occurs. It may be so that some progs are
allowed
and some not. very annoying. But kellys fix works in all times after
re-logging in=)

in the power toys download page they say they work only for US-english
regional
setting. well, that may be it. I dont know. but Im very happy kellys page
exist.

I am thinking of switching to heldUp intead of actual title buttons to avoid
this re-occuring
problem. actual title buttons is nice, you set what programs should have an
extra icon next
to minimise to stay on top (or you can have that for all apps)

regards,
anton
