Lately when I right click to open a new window so as not to close the main
window, the new window is extremely small. Is there a way to concifgure so
the new windows open in full size?

IE remembers the last window that was opened.

This will have to be redone occasionally.

Open *one* instance of IE | Use the cursor (not the
maximize button) to drag the window to the desired
size | Click the Close [X] while holding down the
Ctrl key.
-----

When all else fails, paste the line below into Start | Run

javascript:window.open(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight)

Note: then make sure the above window is the last one closed.

No -- only the primary IE window can be full size (maximized).
All secondary IE windows will open at the normal size (normalized).

Windows remembers both sizes, separately. To set them, close or
minimize all other application windows and open one instance of IE
(such that it is the only instance running, and the only window on the
desktop).

Right-click the taskbar and select either of the two tiling options (it
doesn't matter which -- they both have the same effect when only one
window is being titled). The IE window will then fill the screen entirely,
but without being fully maximised. Now close the window. The normal
size will now be "stored" and all IE windows will open at this size from
now on.

You can leave things as they are, but if you want the primary window
to be maximized, open a single instance of IE and maximize it. Close it
to save the size. From now the primary window will be maximized
while all secondary windows will be normalized.

Remember that the last window closed determines how the next will
open. Therefore ensure you always close the maximized window last
of all.

Note that popups/popunders and scripts in general can play havoc
with your IE window sizes. Best policy is to block all adverts and
scripts unless absolutely essential to a particular site (always look
for alternative sites before allowing ActiveX, scripts or adverts on
your system). Alternatively, use third-party software to maintain
control over your window sizes.
