Right-click menu

It's time to take care of another issue. How are items removed from the
right-click menu? There's a "Scan with Spybot" on the menu and it's been
uninstalled months ago.

Also, how are things added to the right-click menu?

The PC = HP Pavilion/VistaHomePremium SP/2 w/all updates.
500G HD, 3G Ram, AMD dual-processor.

Most things get added to the right-click menu at installation. Usually, it's
a prompt during the install process that asks you if you want certain files
associated with the application.

For example, WinZip has a checkbox to add it to Windows Explorer. Checking
the box will add it to the right-click menu.

Thanks Patrick. Unfortunately I wasn't here the day he set this PC up. I
also noticed that some programs insinuate themselves onto the right-click
menu without asking. I did get rid of Soybot on the menu by removing the
keys in regedit. Is this the only way to get them off the right click menu?
I know there are often more than one way to get things done in Windows, I
like the safest way. ;-)

Gotcha. You people are a real help. I'm trying to read all the sites I'm
being referred to. If I can bypass working in the registry I would love it.
