right click explorer=hang

Windows XP,
- right click the start menu OR a folder in explorer
- causes a hang for 80 seconds
Disable workstation service and all is ok.
No mapped drivers/printers/mail/AV/no unplugeed hardware
No offline folders/removable drives
Tried windows restore/new hdd/nic/unplugging CD/windows
update/

Any ideas? PLEASE!!!

I also have the same problem. Anytime I use the dialup ISP, it XP hangs for a
minute then returns to normal. I am using XP pro SP2 with a dialup currently,
but when I had DSL, it did not do it.

I have the same problem plus additional problems. If I try to delete a file by pressing the delete key, Explorer also hangs. Is it possible to re-install Explorer to fix the problem?

I am having all the below problems. When deleting any number of files, you
can watch the progress bar and it seems to delete them rather quickly, but
then it just sits there for a long time.
