Rich Text in Sub Forms

I have a rich text memo field in a form which works fine but as soon as I
embed this as a sub form it seems to loose the facility. Do I need to change
any settings on the main form?

Rich Text requires a single form view.

My top form is a single form but is embedded in a form tab. However routing
around it seems that sub forms dont display the formatting options on the
ribbon but using limited keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl B) I can manage a few bits
of rich text on these forms. Thanks.
