Ribbon Question

I have recently upgraded to Access 2007. Things are a lot different. I used
to control menus with macros, but it doesn't quite work the same way in 2007.
I have been able to get rid of most of the stuff I don't want my users to
see, except for the ribbon. I know how to minimize it, but it seems as if
the user can still get to it. Is there a way to programatically
eliminate/minimize the ribbon? Or, can you suggest other solutions. Thanks.

Maurice,

Thanks so much for your post. It certainly led me in the right direction.
Interestingly enough, Access Help has the example right in it. I just didn't
search for the right topic. "Customizing Ribbon" finds it very well.

Another related question perhaps. It seems as if you are supposed to be
able to eliminate all the commands on the Office Button by clearing the
"Allow Full Menus" check in the Access Options. Quote from Help below.

"Allow Full Menus: When this check box is cleared, all tabs on the default
Ribbon are hidden with the exception of the Home tab. In addition, only the
Close Database and Exit Access commands are available when you click the
Microsoft Office Button"

When I do this, I still get the "New, Open and Developer" Commands. Any
ideas on why and how I can eliminate them. Again, thanks for your post.

Haven't tested that one out, I always create the ribbon with the various
options available. I'll take a look and let you know..
