Reverse renewal of CA server's certificate

I am using the Certificate Authority of Windows 2000 Server. I made a
mistake by letting it to renew the root CA certificate. Now, I want to
reverse this so that I can still get certificates signed by the old digital
signatures.

What can I do? I do not have backup of this server. Any ideas are welcome.
