Returning New Hardware Dialog: how to identify calling process?

Hello,

At our company we use XP Pro SP2 and since a few weeks the New Hardware
found - dialog pops up at every reboot. It says that there is some unknown
hardware found, but no new hardware has been added.

How can I identify the process or program which is calling this dialog ?

Can some other application be the cause of this problem ?

Try going into device manager and see if there are any items that aren't
functioning. Make sure you turn on "Show hidden devices". If there is
nothing there one of these links may help.
