Hello everyone,
I have recently purchase a new computer, my old one crashed. However, I was
able to save the hard drive. My question is; I had a large amount of e-mails
in my old hard drive which are important, is there a way of retrieve them and
transfer them to my new hard drive. By the way, the old hard drive is running
Office 2003, and the new one Office 2007.
Thank you,
Sol

Thank you Ben for your prompt reply,
How can the PST files be picked up from the old hard drive?
Sol

By connecting your old hd as a slave drive, or by using an external drive
casing
Then copying the pst files to *Documents Folder* of the new PC, you then
open them within Outlook (File>Open>Data File)
You may well have to take ownership of the old folders/files, see win help,
first

PS Nothing is important if you dont have data backups

Thank you DL for your reply,

I am sorry, but I don't know how to do it, I have the old HD connected as an
external drive. However, how do I find the PST files, and then copy them.
Thank you again.

Use explorer to browse your old drive (enable hidden files option)
default location is;
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\
