Retrieving email from gmail to inport to Outlook

I just installed Microsoft Outlook 2007 and imported my email from my gmail
account. It only imported the last 8 days of email. Is there a way to import
all the past dates from my gmail account into my new outlook?

I think you might need to look at the pop-forwarding tab under settings in the gmail inbox on the web if I remember correctly there are options on what period of time you can download the email.
