Retrieving Compressed Mail In Vista from the MSMessageStore folder

I have mail saved in a folder called saved stuff. Since Vista compressed my
mail folders I cannot retireve this mail can anybody tell me how I do this
please. It's driving me nuts!

It isn't in the WindowsMail.MSMessageStore, that's only a database about the
mail, which is stored as EML files in the appropriate subfolders under
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local Folders

many thanks for this Frank however,

when I go to that folder there are only the live messages that occupy my
inbox. The saved stuff is empty. When I open mail I see a small envelope on
my saved stuff folder, which I assume is telling me that there should be mail
in there.

would you have any further suggestions?

I don't know what you mean by saved stuff.
Is this a folder that you made in WinMail?
Or is it a Windows Folder?
How did you make it?
