retrieve old website

I visited a web site that had info on it that was of great importance to me.
I went to the site today and the site was changed and i need info from the
former web site , Is it possible to retrieve the former info is there some
sort of archives' \

You could Google for the website and if found, retrieve the "cached" version
of the site.
