retain leading zeroes

while importing data from Access to Excel the leading zeroes are removed,
i.e. bank accounts. How to retain them? Thanks

Just remember that "numbers" do not have leading zeros.

00100 is not a number
100 is a number or it may also be text.
00100 is text but remember you can't add or multiply text and sorting it
can result in different orders as text or numbers.
