I can't go to a site I have visited regularly (a bittorrent site) because it
is now restricted. I went to 'internet options' and tried unsuccessfully to
change security settings (they just revert back to high). Did a recent
window's update do this to me?I want to go where I please. I am aware of P2P
risks and want to manage my own risk. I didn't do anything differently except
install the update. I want my computer back. any ideas?

Start | Run <type in> CMD /K IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS <enter>
Might help

Also

Check your HOSTS file
WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS
Load it in a text editor and see if the site being blocked is listed.

If so delete the line, save, and find out what put it there.
