Restoring...

System crashed. Determined it was one of the 5 major files (SAM, DEFAULT,
SECURITY, etc) from Windows/System32/config.

Could not get the CD to boot so I figured out another way to replace files.

Can now boot into Windows but since I used the original files, it brings me
into day 1 of the computer life.

Where do I find the restore files from before the crash?

They would be in the \System Volume Information folder. See here:
