Restoring

How can I restore my computer to an earlier date in time?
I've done this before, but I don't remember how to do it.
I accidently deleted software that I want to get back.

If anyone can help me I'd REALLY appreciate it!

Well this is a Windows 2000 newsgroup and Windows 2000 does NOT have
"GOBACK" or "system restore". That means one of two things, 1)you have a
different operating system and are posting to the wrong group or 2)you
have some third party software installed and that isn't parrt of Windows
2000. As far as resolving your problem, for situation #1 try pressing
the F1 key for help with your operating system and look up "system
restore" for #2 try looking in Start, Programs for a program called
Goback or something like that.
