Restoring the Registry from backup

G

Guest

I purchased Registry Mechanic and ran it on my computer Windows XP Home SP2.
Before I did it I created a backup of my registry onto my destop. After
running Registry Mechanic I experience no audio so I tried to restore the
Registry from the backup but I get an error message that not all of the
registry could be written because they were in use by the system. I tried
msconfig and used the Diagnostic startup, same error message. How do I
restore the Registry? What is the point of making a backup if I cannot
re-install it.

My audio is still not working.

Thanks anyone, Niagara Mouse
