After I ran the Anti-spyware program, and told it to
remove several hundred files and registry entries, I lost
connectivity to the Internet and all computers on my
network. TCP/IP will not load and I get an error "Unable
to initialize Windows Sockets Interface" when I try to do
a ping. I tried to redo my network connections, but
TCP/IP still will not load. (I am running XP Pro with
SP2.) Is there any way to UNDO the actions of the program?
There is a remove from quarantine function, if you chose to quarantine
particular items--this is one of the choices sometimes offered in the
individual removal items.
However--getting back your network connectivity is much easier--basically,
with XPSP2, a single command-line command.
