How do I restore the IE icon to .html and .htm files? They were lost after i
installed Dreamweaver and then uninstalled it. Dreamweaver assigned their
icon for html files when I installed it.

Thanks in advance.

Go to control panel, folder options. Click on the File Types tab.
Scroll to the file extensions you want to change and click change.
Select the program you want.

Ken,

You should be able to reset the HTML file icon via Folder Options, File Type dialog. Or, type "regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll" in Start, Run dialog.

I tried as you suggested. I could access html by clicking an html file and IE
opened it. However, the icons have not been changed. What else can I do?
