Restore

I tried to restore my windows XP HP computer. When it rebooted it came up with this message. NTLDR is compressed, hit ctrl alt delete to uncompress. When I do this, it just comes back to this screen. It also has F1 for setup and F10 for restore
at the bottom of the screen. When I hit F1 it will go into the BIOS, when I hit F10
it does a system restore, but when the computer comes back up it, the message
that NTLDR is compressed comes back up. I can't seem to get past this point.
