Do you have a recovery CD (or CDs) that came with your computer?
If yes, the answer is yes.

Have you backed up your data (everything that you have downloaded
or created yourself that you do not want to lose)?

If you have backed up your data and don't mind losing all the data, just
put the recovery CD in the CD drive and reboot and follow the on-screen
instructions.
You may have to make a few choices. It may ask you if you want to
format the disk first or just re-install everything.

Just boot from the Windows XP CD and follow the prompts for a
clean installation.
