Hi,

Create a new shortcut by right clicking on the desktop and selecting
New - Shortcut, and paste the following command.

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"

Do the same for %SystemRoot%\system32\calc.exe

Now drag each new shortcut to the location of you choose in the Start
Menu.

Hi

System Restore shouldn't delete those programs. From>Run type the
following, one at a time:

iexplore
calc

Do both Internet Explorer and Calculator applications appear?

Hi,

For Calculator, go to Control Panel - Add/remove programs - Add/remove
Windows Components.
Select "Accessories and Utilities" and click Details, then Accessories -
Details and make sure Calculator is checked. Click OK to install.

Bert,
Now it tells me to insert Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD which I
do not have .......????? Any suggestions? Why would this have been deleted
anyway. Seems like an odd thing to be deleted.
Thanks for your time.

Hi,

I would suggest requesting a copy of the WindowsXP SP-2 CD from the
system manufacturer.
