Restore XP Look to Outlook 2003

Is there any way to restore the look of Office 2003 to
it's more staid, cleaner, XP setting ?

From what I have read, the answer is No, you cannot.

Change the position of the Reading Pane to the bottom and set the Navigation
Pane to Folder List.
Drag the shortcut bar for the Navigation Pane down.
Change the Other Settings of the Current View to not to use the lines
between messages.

I think you are quite far in achieving your goal now.

Yes someone please tell us how to make Outlook 2003 look like Outlook XP I hate the new look and can not figure out how to go back to the XP look...

1) Set the Reading Pane to the bottom; View-> Reading Pane-> Bottom
2) Set the Navigation Pane to Folder List
3) Ungroup the messages; View-> Arrange By-> Show in Groups
