Restore Utility Crashes after new harddrive installed

I just installed a Seagate 120gig SATA harddrive, I used
their utility to move the XP OS from the old Maxtor 40
gig harddrive to the new one and then pulled the old
drive. I even used Restore to make a Restore point before
I did this. Now I cant even get into Restore as it
crashes each time I try. (Just the APP not Windows) I
must have sent 20 of those little automated messages to
Microsoft as they pop up each time it crashed.
Does anyone have any Ideas? I am rather nervous without a
functioning Restore point available.

Did you try restart into safe mode and the boot into your account and check
device manager to see what the issue is?
