restore to original setting. how. Reload?

fritz. (less than 3 month on comp.) vista home 32 pre installed . EMachines
i have all mixed up my programm so bad. i dont now where to start. desktop
seems to be split. 1 w/ 32 folders. 1w/ 21 folders and a public desktop.
can not edit Email can add but not remove.can not find some tools.i like it
back to pre installed setting and config.any suggestion??
personal files and data need not saving not imported. i backed up files to
D, wish i had not.
i like to start all fresh. sorry for the trouble. thanks fritz
when i do wipe clean and reload from disk will backed up files be gona to ?
