Ok, so I've been replacing some system files on my computer with new ones to
customize the look of XP. But somewhere a mistake was made, and now I can't
access windows explorer. I can run programs that are available through my
destop or start menu fine, but I Can't acces My Computer or any other
folders. In addition, when I put my startup disk in, windows doesn't run it,
it just shows me a PQF file and won't run it. I've been trying to replace
the system files in the sys32 folder in hopes that it will trigger security
and ask me to inert my windows CD, but whatever program I use to navigate my
folder always crashes when I try to paste the new DLL.

How can I restore my system files?

Hi

Try running the following from Start>Run to get your system back up and
running again. You may need to have your XP CD to hand, dependent on which
files you have replaced:

sfc /scannow
