Restore/Recover programs/file...

I install XP Professional, and lost some programs and files. Can I "get" it
back? Please led me know. Thank you.

Did you upgrade from what? Did you format the drive?

If you did a clean install it would have formatted your harddrive and
ALL previous files are gone, period! Not even a recovery tool would
help after that.

I'm pretty sure you can really restore your lost files. Among data
recovery tools the most powerful are Active@ undelete and Uneraser(for
pure DOS). Theese utilities does have really awesome restore methods
that never failed me before, so that should definately help you.
