restore points

How do you create and how often should I establish a restore point for my
system?
 
Amazingly Start>Help and Support "system restore" gives you all the info you
need.

Windows creates a new one every day if you have SR enabled.

A fully-functional System Restore will usually create a Restore Point
automatically every 24 hours or so, and when installing a new application or
a Windows Update. Do you find that this is not the case?
