restore points

i'm using windows xp and it creates what seems to me to
be a lot of restore points. in about 20 minutes it
created 30 restore points. this seems excessive to me . i
lowered the amout of disk space to be used to create
restore points and it still does the same thing. any
suggestions?? what is the problem??

System Restore will likely create one Restore Point per day.
