Restore Points Vanishing

At one time, I had restore points going back months available for System
Restore.

Now they are erased even when manually created every single day. I cannot
get this feature to work as before.

What is going on...what parameters have I set differently or wrong?

System Restore cannot create a restore point. Please restart your computer

Disable System Restore, reboot, then enable.
