Restore point not functioning

No, and aparently my original information didn't make ti this far

what has happened is that I just put in a new hard Drive into my computer,
replacing an old, small one. I transfered everything from the old hard drive
to the new primary Hard drive and it all went smoothly, except now parts of
my office software will not run (Windows installer service cannoy be
accessed) and restore point goes straight to a "send information to
microsoft" box.

Had you correctly cloned the old hard to the new this would not have
happened. You should have used the cloning software that came with the new
drive (if it was a retail purchasea) or used third party cloning software
(Ghost, True Image, etc.)

When you clone a drive, previous restore points are invalid and so not
copied.

Please post back and describe your problems in more detail. We'll try to
help.

Go Control Panel > System> System Restore. Did you activate? If not, do so.
