Trying to create a restore point and under Syetem Properties it's "grayed"
out and says "Restore Point Creation Disabled by Group Policy". Please
advise. How and should I change the group policy? My User Account has
Administrator privileges. Thank you very much.

Is this on a domain? Local admin does not override Domain Group Policy. You
may have user Admin priviliges locally on the box, or even Sysop (DC) or
RegionOp (2 or more ) privilege, but only top Domain admin can override
domain group policy.

Open Run Command > type in gpedit.msc > click Enter > click Continue on UAC
dialog

Expand User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components >
Backup > select 'Client' > in the right pane, right click "Turn off restore
functionality" > set it to 'Not Configured' and see if it fixes it.
