Restore image to new array

R

Rob

I used Terabyte's Image for DOS 1.40 to make a system backup onto 9 DVDs.
My reason for making a backup image is because it's a SCSI RAID 0 based
graphics workstation with extensively configured software, and it needs to
be back up within hours of a hard drive failure or if I swap out the current
hard drives for bigger ones.
When I started the Image program from a DOS boot disk, I got the following
options:

- MBR Entry 0, partition (01), 39 MB, Type DEh/222
- MBR Entry 1, partition (02), 69312 MB, HPFS/NTFS

Partition 2 is clearly my system partition, and although I'm not sure what
partition 1 is, I backed it up also onto a CD. ( It's probably a Dell
Utillities partition )
Now, in order to restore my system to a new Raid 0 Array, do I need to do
anything in addition to:
1. Running restore from the Image boot floppy
2. Restoring Partition 1 from CD
3. Restoring Partition 2 from DVDs

In other words, does Image take care of the Master Boot Record business
also?

TIA

Rob:

The best place to ask this question is direct to Terabyte support.
They have always answered my E-Mail questions promptly. Also, in
addition to E-Mail support they also have an excellent users group
where you can post questions.

I'm not certain of their newsgroup address but I think it is
terabyteunlimited.com.

I first tried their news server but I'm having connection problems
with it currently, I will try again later.
Port 1198, not 119.
