Restore Deleted User Accounts

I have recently had a problem logging on to my laptop (as has the second user
account). Firstly the welcome screen ceased to appear and to try and rectify
this I tried to stop fast switch option in user accounts screen. The only
way it would allow this was to delete the user accounts. I created a new
user with admin rights and deleted the original accounts (2). This not only
did not solve the problem it threw up another reason for not being able to
stop fast switching, being a file called vrlogon.dll which is part of the
fingerprint software for the thinkpad T43. I would like now to restore the
original user settings and find another way to sort out the start up
problems. Can anyone help please

Fast User Switching is not what you are thinking about. It is used to switch
between settings without logging off. Unchecking the option will not solved
the problem.

What you need to do is to tell Windows to log on to the account you want
without asking you at the Welcome Screen. The user account should not be
password protected.

Click Start - Run - type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2
From the user list select the user you want to auto login and uncheck the
option "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."

There is no option to recover deleted user except any data recovery
software. but it will too only recover the files not the user settings. I am
not sure but you should try System Restore. Hope it will recover your deleted
user. I will suggest, live without it if you can.

Hope this help, let us know!
