I have Windows 2000 and deleted the address book. Is it
possible to restore?

Have you checked the Recycle Bin? If it's present there, then they can easily be
restored. Otherwise, you'll have to give us more details regarding how you
deleted it and which application & version is the address book for, i/e., IE5,
IE6, Outlook 98/2000/2002/2003, etc.

There was no mention of a WAB by the OP, only an "address book", and this alone
doesn't define Windows Address Book.

Outlook's address book, aka Contacts, is contained within the main PST file.

My response asked for clarification so that a proper solution could be offered.

If your talking about a personal address book in Outlook, look for a
file *.pab. Usually it's called mailbox.pab in the same directory as
your .pst file.
