Dear Profis!

I need to restart and login as a specified user in Win2K
Pro as a scheduled task automatically. I know methods to
restart a Win2K, but how it is possible to make a pre-
programmed login (the username/password is known)after a
succesful automatic restart..?

But you should say more about the task you need to accomplish. Perhaps
it can simply be run under the proper account from a scheduled task.

Dear Birdie,
I do apologize, but I am unable to help you with your
question. I do have a question for you, though. You
state that you know how to schedule a reboot of a W2K. My
agency has been trying to figure this out and haven't come
to a good way of performing it. I was hoping that you
would be so kind as to let me know how you handle this.
We would like to schedule the server to reboot unattended
on at least a weekly basis.

You could put one of this one in a scheduled job:

A)
You can use a vbscript to do a shutdown/reboot:

PsShutdown.exe in the free PsTools suite
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/pstools.shtml

C)
Shutdown.exe in the Win2k Resource Kit (buy-ware).
