Resizing pictures to fit slide

R

Richard Cavell

Hi,

I have several pictures that are in the order of 2000 x 2000 pixels.
When I insert...picture...from file, they are inserted so that they
occupy a space far larger than the slide they're on. Is there an easy
way to fit the picture to the slide size?

Unless it's ok that your PPT files are way bigger than they need to be and run
way slower than they should, you may want to resample the images to a smaller
size in the first place, before inserting them into PPT.

For some uses, you may really need them to be that big; if so, ignore the
paragraph above.

In any case, after inserting the picture, drag any corner handle to resize it
to the size you want. Or Ctrl+Click the picture, choose Format from the popup
menu and on the Size tab, type in the size you want directly.
