Resizing Cells, but not Columns/Rows

Running MS Excel 2003. Is there anyway to resize a cell, or group of cells, without resizing the entire column/row? For example if I have 3 charts, one on top of the other, and the title given to one of the cells is much larger than the title I want to give to another cell below it. I can shrink the column, but it keeps me from being able to see the entire title in the larger cell. I'd like to keep the size of the cells I put actual values in to remain consistent, but want to be able to display the entire title of the cells above them. I've looked and looked through the help section but haven't found anything on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi
you can't resize cells individually. You can only change the width of
the entire column. Some workarounds
1. Select some cells and goto 'Format - Cells - alignment' and check
'Center across selection'

2. In the same dialog you could also merge some heading cells. Note: I
would not recommend using merged cells as they will cause problems
while sorting, filtering, etc.

You may want to try using a text box. It is a button on the drawing
toolbar.
