residual annoying new hardward popup

I downloaded the driver software for my HP P1000, and
with some manipulating got it loaded, but I can't get rid
of the popup that happens when I bootup announcing that I
have HP hardware to load.

PATRICIA, you didn't install it right. Try one more time
using the EXACT instructions. These things are a bear to
load. If that doesn't work, pull the circuitbreaker and
all leads. Next, turn on the power, load the CD and let
it guide you through the steps.

This is a known issue with some HP printer drivers. See the following MSKB
