OS = XP Professional, Office XP 2002 using Internet Explorer 6.0.yadayada I believe that the dialogue box for how to handle rtf files from a web site was accidently set to "Open with Word" and "Don't ask me again" or the equivelant, so I am unable to save a copy to disk. This would be semi-OK except that <Crtl> + A, <Crtl> + C, go to Word, <Crtl> + V is producing unusable results. (This result is REALLY weird--see below.) I have been unable to find the way change this setting. I have looked in regedit, but I apparently don't know what setting to look for--if that's the right place. Any help will be most appreciated!

About the weird copy/paste problem--when I look at the document (an invoice with a lot of sections, columns, etc.) on the web site a particular section near the bottom of the 1-pg document ends with a "Section break (continuous)." When I paste it into a Word doc, that break is changed to a "Section break (next page)," and I have been unable to change it at all. Any ideas on this one would be great too.

Hi,
This article may help:
318761- Open Button in Dialog Disabled When You Browse or Redirect to .rtf
or .csv Files:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q318761

Except, I think that you want to associate rtf files with Word (Open> Edit,
browse to Winword.exe) check the "Confirm open after download" box and
uncheck "Browse in the same window."

Hope this helps,
Don
