If you uncheck the box on the next screen your home page won't be changed.
In any case, you won't lose your ISP connection.

This won't touch your dial-up/broadband connection settings. The only things which are reset are the Internet Explorer Search pages, URL templates, Homepage [if you choose the option], fixes the internet shortcuts and their file associations. [http, https, ftp etc]. If you've set a different browser as default, IE *might* takeover
