rescue personal folder

I have a huge 1.1Gb personal folder, and for unknown reason, it can no
be accessed with "property of this information service must be define
prior to use" message. I try to use PSTScan tool to scan the PST file
no error found.
However, the PST file is still not able to access in my Outlook 2000
Not sure if
there's any other way to fix the PST file, so that I can read it

Add another Personal Folders service in your profile and point it at this
file.

I did, but it shows "property of this information service must be
defined prior to use"
