Reports in Access

B

Bernadette

I have designed several reports in access and when i try
to reduce the bottom margin from say 12cm to 4cm, the
program does not accept the change and the report extends
onto 2 pages, vertically. The other margins are top 4cm,
left & right both 4cm. I cannot understand why I cannot
reduce the bottom margin to the same as the others, ie 4cm

Any help please

Bernadette,
Whatever printer you have defined for the report determines the minimum
margin settings. Old dot matrix printers used to be able to go to 0", but
many ink jet and lasers can't print all the way to the edge.
My particular printer has a .25 left and right minimum.

Printers that feed single sheets of paper generally cannot print as close to
the bottom of the page as they can to the top or sides. They use a roller to
feed the paper out, and once it is off the roller they can no longer print
in that part.

The unprintable area depends on the printer itself. It may be in the
printer's documentation, or you may be able to figure it out from the
settings available in:
Start | Settings | Printers & Faxes | right-click your printer |
Properties.

If that is not the issue, you may have struck a bug associated with Name
AutoCorrect. Details:
