Report / subreport Question

I need help in in how make this work. I have a main report that lists a
practice group and pts. At the end of this report I need to add an
informational reference page. Reference page should only include information
pertaining to pts listed. I put the informational reference page on a
separate report. This information report is a subreport on main page. The
information report consists of subreports of various information. Because
the Informational reference report is just text. How do I link this
subreport to the main report? How do I link subreports on subreport? Is
there another way to do this? How do I have my main report show only the
information Needed? I hope someone can help me on this. Thank you.

If I am understanding your question, which I think I am here is what I would
do. Go to the header of the section where the subreport is and right click to
get properties. Change force new page to before section. This will make the
subreport print on a separate sheet. Any linking you need to do you go to the
data tab of that section and link master and child fields to what they need
to be. A pop up should come up to ask you what you want to link.

Thank you for responding. But the "Force New Page" is not working. Anything
else I should do?

I can link the subreports by putting control with the fields linked. My
problem with this is the Information Reference sheet should only have one
instance of the information. There could be more than one instance of pts
with same info reference. I just need to show once instance on the
Information Reference Report and list all pts on the main report. How do I
do this please? Thank you for any help.

Sorry, my first response did not post for some reason. Put the subreport in
the footer then go to the footer and set force new page to before and after
that way you will get mainform - subform - mainform - subform and not mixed
up pages. Try going to the query the subform is based on, go to design view,
right click and set unique records to yes.

Thanks again for responding. Okay I got the reports to link and just
generate one piece of information from the subreport to the Main report.

Can't get the subreport to printview correctly at the end of the main
report. This subreport consists of a header and text. Subreport printview
correctly if I open it by itself. If I open mainreport, subreport prints the
header on one page with the main report header, text on another. I have
tried the Force New Page (everything here). There has to be a way to do
this. Can you please help? Thank you.

Each report is broken down into "sections." the header and possibly
subheader, the main body, and the footer. It sounds like you could either
move the sub to the footer or create a section just for the sub (look at help
on creating new sections.) You can right click on the header of each section
and use the force new page command or the keep together command. Since I
can't see your report, I can't tell you for sure. One thing for certain, make
sure you don't have different parts of the sub in different sections. I'll
keep my fingers crossed. Sorry I can't help more.

You may want to combine reports on a single report, instead of creating sub-reports of each other. Create a report for the header page and another report to the details/other reports then create a container report that will hold them all. Place those reports at the page header area with heights just barely enough to see them like 0.086cm. Then set each report's can grow to Yes. Between each report place a "Page Break" control (this is located in the toolbox, together with textboxes, labels etc).
